Requirements and Expectations
To join Bridge Builders Foster Agency as a foster parent, you and your family must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a resident of Georgia.
- Hold a valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Have reliable transportation and automobile insurance.
- Be mentally and physically able to care for children.
- Own or rent a safe, hazard-free home with space for additional children.
- Complete criminal background and child abuse checks.
- Be willing to participate in pre-service training and a home study.
- If married, have been living with your current spouse in a continuous marriage for at least one year (cohabitating couples are not eligible).
